That there actualy was a room available.
Yes. Unfortunatelly, my short-term stay brought much disappointment. I was supposed to meet my friend at the airport. But her flight was canceled. I spent at the hotel not more than five minutes after check- in. And when asked to check-out wiht full refund - I was not returned even a dime. Taking into consideration all the circumstances (that i'm an international student, came from bilbao and lost 90 euro on this trip - which is my monthly salary in my home country. and here I live on it,as I can't work (student visa)), I found it very disappointing and inhumane in a way. I am sorry that my stay at your hostel was such a disappointment. Hope you reconsider your policy for special circumstances, such as this. Thank you for your time.

Good price, clean
Long distance from the metro station, not so quiet - thin doors.

We used this hostel as only a place to sleep, and that's all it's really worth. If you will be hanging out at all, I would recommend finding a different place. The clientele were kind of sketchy and small children were yelling all hours of the night. I wouldn't stay here again.

wi fi in the lobby
Receptionist gave the keys to a room already occupied, things other people were in bed. Men's bathroom was very dirty, but not the hotel fault but those who used the bathroom. Cleaning is done daily. It's very far from metro station is nearest is Sierra d Guadalupe , and we had 20 minutes there at the hotel given that almost ran

The price was reasonable; the room was clean and warm, as we stayed in winter the heating was just in time in the room.
the location is very bad, it is far from metro and bus station. the staff wasn't helpful at all - when we left our belongings in the room and went down to the reception in order to find out where the nearest bus station is, the receptionist told us that he is busy at the moment and can't help us at all.... it was so rude!!! the guest of the hostel helped us to find the nearest bus station. the walls are very thin and you can here everything! People are smoking in the room and even in the bathrooms!

Nice accommodations, friendly people staying there, clean, well-taken care of
I had arrived a day early and told the receptionist that I had a reservation for the following night, but needed a room for tonight as well. We gave him our identification and asked twice to make sure that he had found the reservation for the following night as well and he said yes. But, in the end I was charged on my credit card as a no show, on top of the two nights I had paid in cash upon arrival. Good thing I checked my credit card statement and went to the reception desk. In the end, I was refunded for the extra charge, but only after I was told that the first receptionist never found my reservation, photocopied my passport and put the reservation under my roommates name and that it was pretty much my fault that I was charged.

I liked receiving breakfast tickets that I could just give to the restaurant that was attached to the Hostal.
It was hard to locate the Hostal since we arrived in Madrid at 10 pm and the information centers were closed. It would be extremely nice if the hostal included public transit directions from the metro system. Even if it just said to start from the closest metro stop at least all travelling by train, bus, or plane could get themselves to that metro line. Also, I inquired about traveling with a baby and wanted a crib, but that was unavailable the 1st night. That made the 1st night stay rather difficult.

Other guests made too much noise until 02:30 AM, including whistles. The bathroom was not cleaned during the two days. Was charged for 1 more day of my credit card, but I think this will be resolved peacefully.

Price is very low compared with other hotel.
Location is far away from downtown. When you come back a littel bit late at night, there is no person on the street and very difficult to find taxi.

It's new one. Only few people in the hostel, so I lived in 3-person room alone.
It's not city center. 20-25 min by undergroung + 20 min by foot.

It is a decent hostel at a relatively good price for Madrid.
It is not really close to a metro station nor the center of Madrid. The building structure makes you think at a low cost hospital.
